Tony’s career in the nuclear industry spans more than thirty years covering all stages of project work from studies, R&D and concept design through to site implementation, plant handover, and asset management. He started as a mechanical apprentice and has held roles related to engineering design, conventional safety, nuclear safety, project management and site management. Tony currently works at Sellafield Ltd, where he has a dual role as Centre of Expertise Leader for Requirements Management as well as Deputy Head of Project Engineering Management. He is currently undertaking a Doctorate in Business Administration at LJMU’s Liverpool Business School.
Tony joined the Engineering Council Board as he recognises engineering’s key role in addressing significant global challenges and the need to maintain the high standards of UK engineering professionalism. He represents a group of the smaller institutes and undertakes various roles on behalf of the Nuclear Institute.
